Binary
There is also an experimental ZeroInstall feed
for some platforms, if you'd prefer a binary package. (It is possible
to use the tarballs provided on the feed page without ZeroInstall as well.
Just extract it anywhere you want, say ~/opt/, and start the binary
with an absolute path name.)
Patches
Some latest changes are available at the patches page.
Ion3+
This is the current development branch of Ion. It is not actively
developed by the author, but contributions (sent with
darcs send) fitting in the Ion vision can be accepted after review.
There is also a wishlist of changes to
Ion3+.
The ChangeLog itself is available as RSS.
Ion3+ may only be downloaded with Darcs 2 from the source repository, as follows:
darcs get --lazy http://modeemi.fi/~tuomov/repos/ion-3plus/
You will also need libextl-3 and libtu-3 from the same location.
If you merely want to build the executable, and not work on the
code, you can do this with the following command in the top-level
source directory:
sh predist.sh -snapshot
