We'd like to announce, that this Wednesday (3.09.2025), from 15:30 we will be replacing the current network attached storage server with new one(water -> vichy). Dependent servers (almost all in our club) will experience an outage. The maintenance may take whole day.
Performed replacement should increase stability and speed of the network drive service, as the modern hardware is used for Vichy (ProLiant DL380 Gen9), and Industrial-grade SSD drives are going to be used.
As we are migrating the drives, we'd like to also announce preparing the new High-availability cluster of hypervisor based on Proxmox. Nodes are based on three ProLiant DL380 Gen8 servers:
1. CPU: 1 x Xeon E5-2695, MEM: 192GB
2. CPU: 2 x Xeon E5-2620, MEM: 128GB
3. CPU: 1 x Xeon E5-2640, MEM: 256GB
The nodes will have layer 2 connectivity with vichy over separate dedicated subnet.
Migration of VM's onto new cluster will be separately announced!
